The kendalls, were accompanied at the recording session by: Jeff Allen, Gary Baker (bass), Ken Bell (guitar), Roger Clark (drums), Sonny Garrish (steel), Lonnie Ledford (Bass), Staven Nathan (keyboards), Jerry Lee Wallace (acustic guitar). With the production of Blake Mevis, The song was released in early 1984, on April 14, 1984, it reached # 1 on the U.S Hot Country Songs charts, remaining on the charts for a total of 14 weeks. On the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts, it peaked at # 16. It was the third and last number one, in The Kendalls’ career.

The song was featured on The Kendalls ‘twelfth studio album, Movin’ Train (Mercury 1984), on the U.S Top Country Albums charts, peaking at # 16.
